βI shouldnβt have hit you,β you say.,
As you pass me my green tee.
βI threw a pan at you,β I say,
As I put it in my suitcase.
βHow did we come to this,β you ask,
Holding our favorite photo frame.
βI wonβt be taking that,β I tell you,
Reminiscing how happy we were.
βWhat about this?,β you ask,
Holding the scrap-book we made.
βWhat happened to us?β I ask,
Reaching out to your hand instead.
βWe played the blame game,β you say,
Pulling your hand away.
βDo you still love me?,β I ask,
Teary eyed, I look at you.
βJust as much as you do,β you reply,
And pass me the mug you got me for Valentines.
βIt doesnβt matter now,β I say,
As I squeeze the mug between my clothes.
βLetβs renew it,β you say,
Pulling our scrap-book out.
βWhat do you mean,β I ask,
As confused as I can be.
βWe shared love,β you say,
Opening a picture of us.
βNow letβs share the blame too,β you continue,
With your eyes full of hope.
βIβm sorry, I was horrible,β I apologize,
You just shake your head in disapproval.
βWe are sorry, we messed it up,βΒ you say,
As you wrap your arms around me.
βLetβs fix our mess,β I reply,
As I pass you my blue jeans.
